Presidential candidate Suleiman Al-Bayoudi commented on the government’s statements. He noted the Prime Minister had announced the completion of local investigations in Turkey. This announcement implied the existence of preliminary findings. However, the government’s subsequent press conference denied any results. Al-Bayoudi believes this inconsistency reflects significant government confusion. He attributed it to conflicting statements.
Al-Bayoudi further clarified his points in a Facebook post. He expressed surprise regarding the press conference’s focus on the black box. Officials stated the black box results would be delayed. They also suggested results might not be available if the box was damaged. Al-Bayoudi questioned if there were initial signs of damage. He wondered if the government deliberately withheld this information. He suggested this might have caused delays in reporting the news.
Al-Bayoudi also addressed the path of criminal proceedings. He noted that a domestic criminal lawsuit for public rights is feasible. However, the internationally recognized approach is different. This involves families of victims initiating criminal proceedings. They also demand compensation. The goal is to uncover the truth. Al-Bayoudi emphasized, “There is no other way.”
Al-Bayoudi highlighted the capabilities of private companies. He stated that private aviation and international insurance companies sometimes have intelligence assets. These assets can be more powerful than those of national governments. This capability allows them to help uncover the truth. They can do this through available legal channels.
