Former Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Hassan Al-Saghir, spoke. He stated the “Libya Dawn” group still controls Tripoli. Its members and approach execute their will. He noted their methodology ranges from accusing others of apostasy to treason. Their tools include violence, blackmail, and sabotage.
Al-Saghir elaborated in a Facebook post. He predicted a forceful takeover and control. This prediction was made from the first day. He described the “Supreme Court” as a “farce of their rulings.” He also termed it their “political tool.” His belief was reinforced by a decision. Mohammed Al-Menfi issued that decision.
Al-Saghir continued. He said, “The same group and ideology began with Resolution Seven against Bani Walid.” This progressed to approving political isolation. It included the abduction of Zeidan. It also involved the siege of ministries. He noted this group raises slogans of civility. They advocate for democracy and judicial independence. However, their actions and policies contradict these claims, he stated.
Al-Saghir concluded his remarks. He quoted Amina Al-Mahjoub. She declared the headquarters are under their control. She understands the situation well. Adel Karmos has proven his qualification. He could lead the State Council in upcoming elections. Abourziza secured a diplomatic position. His predecessors, Dahhan and Al-Hafi, did the same. Nouri Abdul Latif began his ascent. He is moving towards the Supreme Court. He aims to succeed Abourziza. Al-Saghir added the courts of Barqa and Fezzan will not submit to Abourziza. This includes their judges and case management. It also applies to public prosecution departments. These are within the jurisdictions of these courts, he stated.
Al-Saghir concluded his speech. He said, “Perhaps they will invent displaced court presidents in Tripoli.” This is similar to their current actions. They have military zone commanders in Tripoli. These commanders do not leave Tripoli hotels.
