Benghazi – Ahmed Al-Sharif praised Italian Consul Francesco Saverio De Luigi. Al-Sharif is a member of the House of Representatives. He also serves as Vice President of the Libyan-Italian Friendship Committee. He lauded the consul’s efforts. These efforts occurred during his work period in Benghazi.
This praise happened at a farewell ceremony. The Italian Consulate General in Benghazi organized the event. It took place on Monday evening. The Italian Ambassador to Libya attended. The Italian Consul General was also present. Representative Asma Balaoun joined them. She is a member of the Libyan-Italian Friendship Committee.
Al-Sharif spoke to a correspondent from the Libyan News Agency (WAL). He stated the ceremony highlighted deep bilateral relations. These relations exist between Libya and Italy. He emphasized the positive role of the parliamentary friendship committee. This committee strengthens communication channels. It also fosters joint cooperation.
