The Libyan Al-Suwaihli team scored a win in the 42nd Arab Club Volleyball Championship, and achieved its third victory in a row, as it defeated the Kuwaiti team, Burgan, in the second group competitions.
Meanwhile, Al-Ahly Benghazi lost Qatar’s team in the same championship that is currently held in Amman.
Al-Suwaihli Impresses with Strong Performance
In a competitive match, Al-Suwaihli team won against Burgan, with a score of 3-1, thereby proving its position and strengthening its lead in the second group. The results of the match rounds were as follows: 25-18, 22-25, 25-17, 25-23.
The Al-Suwaihli players were able to impose their control over the course of the match from the beginning, as they were distinguished by their strong performance and high fighting spirit. The team succeeded in winning the first half with a score of 25-18.
However, the team faced some difficulties in the second half, as the Kuwaiti Burgan team managed to tie the score 22-25.
However, Al-Suwaihli quickly returned to the right track, and decided the third and fourth games with scores of 25-17 and 25-23, respectively.
With this victory, Al-Suwaihli raises his score to 9 points at the top of Group Two, while Burgan of Kuwait’s score freezes at 3 points in third place.
This is the third victory achieved by the team during the Arab Club Volleyball Championship. This victory is an important achievement for Al-Suwaihli, as it strengthens its lead in Group Two with 9 points, and brings it closer to qualifying for the second round of the tournament.
At the beginning of its tournament campaign, Al-Suwaihli won, on Tuesday, over the Iraqi refineries of the north 3:0 in the framework of the second group competitions by: 25-20, 25-18, 25 and 20.
It also won on Wednesday against Qatari Police, 2:3. The results of the match were as follows: 23-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, 15-11.
Al-Ahly Benghazi Lost to Qatari Team
Al-Ahly Benghazi team lost to the Qatari team in the first group of the Arab Club Volleyball Championship, with a score of 3-1.
Al-Ahly Benghazi started the match well, and was able to win the first half with a score of 25-16.
However, the Qatari team quickly returned to the match, and was able to win the second and third halves with scores of 25-19 and 25-22, respectively.
In the fourth half, Al-Ahly Benghazi tried to return to the match, but did not succeed, as the Qatari team won the half with a score of 25-15.
With this victory, Al-Qatar Al-Qatari raises its score to 7 points in second place in Group A, while Al-Ahly Benghazi falls to third place with the same number of points.
Al-Ahly Benghazi began its campaign in the Arab Club Volleyball Championship on Tuesday with two victories over the Jordanian team, Shabab Al-Hussein, and the Kuwaiti team, Kazma.
