Al-Thani discusses improving health services for military retirees

Benghazi – The Chairman of the Military Retirees Affairs Authority and Commissioner of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar Military City, Lieutenant General Abdullah al-Thani, met with the Head of the Health Institutions Accreditation and Monitoring Authority, Dr. Fadwa al-Faidi. They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting focused on supporting and improving health services for military retirees. Both parties aim to establish quality and accreditation standards within relevant health facilities.

The meeting took place at the Military Retirees Affairs Authority headquarters in Benghazi. Counselor Najat al-Oreibi, Director of the Legal Department at the Authority, also attended the session. Participants discussed mechanisms to develop the healthcare system for military retirees. These efforts align with state goals to upgrade public health services.

In a statement to the Libyan News Agency, Dr. Fadwa al-Faidi emphasized that her authority prioritizes healthcare for military retirees. She noted that the next phase will involve monitoring health institutions where retirees receive treatment. The authority will evaluate these facilities to ensure they meet approved accreditation standards. This process aims to guarantee the delivery of safe and high-quality health services.
