Tobruk – A Sudanese migrant’s body was found. The discovery occurred today, Tuesday. It was found on Al-Qardhabiya beaches, west of Tobruk.
This incident is likely linked to an irregular migration boat. Hatem Bilhaj Ali is the media spokesperson for the Eastern Region Marine Rescue Department. He stated that the Al-Qardhabiya marine rescue unit recovered the body. It was found earlier on the coast.
The body is believed to be one of the victims. They were on an irregular migration boat. The boat capsized three days ago off the coast. Approximately 37 migrants were on board. Most of them were Sudanese nationals.
Search and follow-up operations are ongoing. More bodies continue to emerge from the accident site. Marine rescue teams are working to manage the incident’s aftermath.
