Benghazi – The Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research discussed ways to support and enhance the Union of Arab Academics and Scientists in Libya. The meeting took place in Benghazi. It brought together Abed Al-Moneim Al-Obeidi, Director of the Ministry’s International Cooperation Office. Hamida Al-Hudairi, Director of the Union’s office in Libya, also attended.
The discussion focused on the Union’s operational mechanisms within Libya. Participants reviewed its administrative and legal procedures. They also addressed the main challenges facing the office. These challenges were both technical and administrative. Ways to resolve these issues were explored. The goal is to facilitate the Union’s tasks.
Both sides also discussed enhancing the use of Arab academics’ and scientists’ expertise. This expertise aims to support scientific research. It will also develop the higher education system in Libya. This is expected to positively impact the quality of academic outcomes.
Both parties affirmed the importance of continued coordination and joint cooperation. This serves the educational and research process. It also supports scientific momentum within the country.
