Libya’s Prime Minister-designate Fathi Bashagha held on Wednesday a series of meetings with British officials in London to discuss his vision for the country’s recovery.
The premier revealed via Twitter that he first held a “closed meeting” with British diplomats at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
He then met with British MP Tobias Ellwood and Lord George Bridges, both of whom are members of the Conservative party.
“We discussed the importance of our two countries working together on issues of counterterrorism and tackling the migration crisis,” Bashagha stated via Twitter.
Productive meeting with UK Parliamentarians @Tobias_Ellwood & Lord Bridges.
We discussed the importance of our two countries working together on issues of counterterrorism and tackling the migration crisis. My #RoadmapToRecovery provides a clear plan for this. #LibyanSolution pic.twitter.com/oK4EASa1e6— فتحي باشاغا Fathi Bashagha (@fathi_bashagha) June 22, 2022
