The Committee for Reviewing the Status of the Medical Supply Authority, headed by Al-Salihin Abdulnabi, on Wednesday discussed the technical, administrative, and financial problems, as well as the lack of resources that hinder the authority’s work.
During the meeting at the headquarters of the House of Representatives’ Diwan, the committee also addressed the monitoring and supervision of the distribution of medicines and medical supplies to all health facilities and the evaluation of performance quality.
The meeting reviewed patient data in the kidney care system, inventoried the devices listed in the main system, and assessed the problems facing dialysis centers and departments, including the provision of necessary equipment and supplies to ensure the safety of medical services.
The committee also discussed the reasons for the shortage of oncology drugs, chronic disease medications, operational supplies, and medical solutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the Medical Supply Authority would provide the committee with a detailed report on the financial amounts received and spent, and the medicines and medical equipment supplied and their distribution to hospitals and health centers, to ensure performance transparency and improve the delivery of medical services to citizens.
