Sabha – The Southern Reorganization Committee, headed by Major General Jamal Al-Amami, continues its intensive fieldwork in the southern municipalities. Its recent activities have focused on two main campaigns aimed at improving the environment of residential neighborhoods and protecting citizens from health and environmental risks.
In the municipality of Al-Qarda Al-Shati, in cooperation with the General Services Company and the Agricultural Police, the committee is working to combat the spread of scorpions, following an increase in citizen complaints about scorpion stings within the neighborhoods.
The campaign includes spraying pesticides and treating scorpion breeding grounds to curb this dangerous pest, as part of a comprehensive plan to enhance public safety and improve the environmental situation in the area.
In the city of Sabha, the committee is continuing its campaign to remove scrap car frames scattered in residential neighborhoods, which are considered one of the most prominent signs of neglect and disorder.
This step aims to improve the urban landscape and prevent these frames from being used for waste storage or as sites for illegal activities, in coordination with security agencies and service authorities.
