France confirms its support for the Sharm El Sheikh agreements and calls for the transition to the second phase in Gaza

Paris – Pascal Confavreux is the official spokesperson for the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. He reiterated France’s support for the Sharm El Sheikh peace agreements. These agreements relate to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Confavreux emphasized the necessity of moving to the second phase of the agreement.

He spoke at a press conference on Thursday. The conference was held at the French Foreign Ministry headquarters. He stated that France supports the ceasefire. France also supports the Sharm El Sheikh agreements.

He added, “We must now move to the next stage.” This involves introducing much larger quantities of humanitarian aid. This has not yet been achieved in Gaza.

He highlighted the importance of addressing the security issue in the Gaza Strip. He affirmed the necessity of allowing the entry of the technical committee. This committee is tasked with managing the sector. He also stressed the need to refocus on security there.
