Saudi Arabia Utilizes AI to Enhance Pilgrim Services and an Operational Plan Comprising Over 150 Initiatives

Makkah Al-Mukarramah – Saudi Arabia announced the use of artificial intelligence technologies. These will serve pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season. The goal is to enhance service quality. It also aims to facilitate access to services in various languages and cultures. A digital service will monitor the density of Tawaf and Sa’i within the Grand Mosque.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais is the Head of Religious Affairs for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. He issued a statement on Wednesday. This statement was published on the presidency’s official website. Al-Sudais said the Hajj season’s operational plan seeks to improve religious services. These services are for “guests of the Most Gracious” (pilgrims). This will enhance their experience in a complete spiritual environment.

He explained the plan is based on established legal and methodological foundations. It aims to enrich pilgrims’ religious and intellectual experiences. This will be achieved through an integrated system of specific programs. These initiatives will be implemented throughout the season.

The operational plan includes over 150 specialized initiatives. These initiatives aim to significantly improve religious services. They cover both the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. This aligns with pilgrims’ expectations. It will also raise performance efficiency.

The plan utilizes an advanced digital system. This system offers services and awareness in over 60 languages. It ensures guidance and advocacy messages reach diverse nationalities.

Al-Sudais confirmed the integration of AI technologies into the operational plan. This represents a significant transformation in religious service development. It aligns with the Kingdom’s goals in this sector. This integration will improve the experience of pilgrims. It will also ease their performance of rituals.

Engineer Osama Al-Zamil is the General Advisor to the Presidency for Religious Affairs. He clarified the executive programs. These include a comprehensive system of initiatives for imams. They also feature scientific lessons. Answering legitimate questions is part of the plan. Quran memorization circles are also included. These efforts will disseminate religious knowledge. They will strengthen spiritual guidance.

He noted the Hajj plan for 1447 AH. This plan is based on a strategic vision. It aims to enrich visitors’ experiences. It also enables them to perform worship in a complete spiritual environment. This environment is supported by the latest technologies. There are two main tracks. These include enriching qualitative initiatives. Seasonal operational works are also intensified during the Hajj season.
