Benghazi – The Department of Holy Quran Affairs and Prophetic Sunnah at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs issued a circular. The directive determines the Eid al-Adha holiday for the year 1447 AH for Quran memorization and Prophetic Sunnah centers.
Circular No. 14 of 2026 explained that the holiday for the memorization centers will begin on Tuesday, Dhul-Hijjah 9, 1447 AH, corresponding to May 26, 2026. Classes will resume on Monday, Dhul-Hijjah 15, 1447 AH, corresponding to June 1, 2026.
The circular required the decision to be distributed to all memorization centers affiliated with the offices. It emphasized the need to inform all concerned parties in a timely manner.
In the circular, the department congratulated the directors of the regional Awqaf and Islamic Affairs offices. It also congratulated the heads of the Holy Quran Affairs and Prophetic Sunnah departments on the upcoming Eid al-Adha. The administration prayed to God to return it to the Islamic nation with goodness, prosperity, and blessings. It also prayed that God accepts good deeds from everyone.
