Benghazi – The General Electricity Company has announced new progress on the project to connect the Al-Kish (220/30 kV) station in the city of Benghazi. It confirmed the completion of the final stage of laying connection cables between the Sat Benghazi (30 kV) and Al-Kish (220 kV) stations, using 30 kV voltage cables with a 1×630 mm² cross-section via a single circuit.
The company also clarified in a statement that it has completed the penultimate stage of laying connection cables between the Al-Kish (220 kV) station and the Ouzo (30 kV) station. This work was executed via two circuits under the supervision of the Benghazi Plain Distribution Projects Department.
The Al-Kish injection station project is a strategic initiative included in the General Electricity Company’s plan, aimed at developing the electrical grid infrastructure in Benghazi. This will enhance its efficiency and reliability and contribute to stabilizing the power supply for citizens.
