Sirte – The Information Office of the National Development Agency confirmed today, Saturday, the completion of the final phase of paving the Al-Shatt dual carriageway in the city of Sirte, spanning a distance of ten kilometers. This is part of the agency’s efforts to upgrade the infrastructure and improve the city’s urban landscape.
The work included treating road subsidence, installing concrete curbs on both sides of the road, rehabilitating concrete and metal barriers, and laying paving tiles, which contributes to enhancing the road’s quality and ensuring smooth traffic flow. These works also added an aesthetic touch, reflecting the spirit of reconstruction and development that the city of Sirte is witnessing in various fields.
The director of the agency’s Information Office explained that new lighting poles have been installed along the road. The next phase will include cleaning and painting the curbs and marking the road, ensuring the completion of the urban appearance and achieving the highest quality standards in the implementation of road projects, as part of a comprehensive plan to develop the city’s road network and public facilities.
