Egypt’s FM, EU counterparts emphasize removing foreign forces, holding elections in Libya

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his European counterparts on Monday emphasized upon the need to remove all foreign forces out of Libya without delay and to hold the national elections in December on time, according to a statement by the Egyptian foreign ministry.

During a meeting in Brussels, the Egyptian and European diplomats also discussed the migration crisis in the Mediterranean, the Syrian crisis and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, among other issues of mutual concern.
