Cairo – Eight Arab and Islamic nations have officially joined the Peace Council. This decision responds to a call from US President Donald Trump. The move aims to solidify the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. It also seeks to revive the two-state solution.
Foreign ministers welcomed the invitation. The invitation was extended by US President Donald Trump. He called on their leaders to join the Peace Council. The participating nations include Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE. Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey are also involved. Saudi Arabia and Qatar complete the list.
In a joint statement, the ministers announced their nations’ collective decision. They confirmed joining the Peace Council. Each country will sign the accession documents. This will follow their respective legal procedures. They will also complete necessary internal arrangements. Egypt, Pakistan, and the UAE had previously announced their membership.
The foreign ministers reaffirmed their support for peace efforts. These efforts are led by US President Donald Trump. They committed to backing the Peace Council’s mission.
