The General Electricity Company has resumed work on the final phase of the project to connect the Al-Kish 220/30/11 kV station with both the Ouzo 30/11 kV station and the Juliana Free Zone 30/11 kV station, by laying two circuits of 30 kV cables with a 1×630 mm² cross-section.
Implementation of cable laying works under the supervision of Benghazi Plain Distribution Projects
The National Company for Energy Projects has begun implementing the cable laying works for the final phase of the project, which spans 950 meters, under the field supervision and monitoring of the Benghazi Plain Distribution Projects Administration.
Strengthening Benghazi’s grid and alleviating loads and electrical bottlenecks
According to the Ministry’s Media Office, this project is an important step in strengthening the medium-voltage grid within the city of Benghazi, as it contributes to alleviating loads and reducing electrical bottlenecks, in addition to increasing the efficiency and reliability of the 30 kV medium-voltage grid.
Supporting strategic projects and urban development in the city
The project also contributes to supporting the strategic projects currently underway in Benghazi by providing stable energy sources that meet the needs of urban and service growth, thereby enhancing development and reconstruction efforts in the city.
