The European Union welcomed on Monday the announcement of the reunification of the Central Bank of Libya, which it hailed as a “step in the right direction for the unity of Libya”.
“Political and technical work must follow, to ensure reinforcement of transparency and fair distribution of oil income among all Libyans as a basis for the peace and prosperity Libya deserves,” outgoing EU Ambassador Jose Sabadell stated via X (formerly known as Twitter).
