Libya – Political writer Abdul Hakim Fannoush offered his view. He believes recent divergences are happening within Libyan institutions. The House of Representatives is particularly affected. These do not necessarily reflect a desire for leadership change. Instead, they are political maneuvers. They are attempts to disclaim responsibility. This comes amidst stalled solutions.
Fannoush clarified his views to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper. He stated that disputes exist within the presidencies. This affects the House of Representatives and other institutions. These disputes appear more like political squabbles. They signal a lack of consensus. He believes they will not lead to a real shift in the balance of power soon.
He also pointed to these indicators. They reflect a deeper crisis. This crisis is within the existing political system. There is an absence of clear solutions. These solutions are needed to reshape the political landscape.
Fannoush issued a warning. He cautioned against escalating tensions. This escalation carries risks of confrontation or fighting. The struggle for power continues.
