Ajdabiya – The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, delivered a speech during the inauguration of new bridges and developmental and service projects in the city of Ajdabiya. In it, he greeted the city’s elders, wise men, notables, and residents, as well as attendees from the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister, and ministers. He praised the workers of the Development and Reconstruction Fund and their efforts, which translate into a renaissance and progress on the widest scale.
Praise for Achievements and Working in Silence
Field Marshal Haftar, according to the speech followed by Al-Marsad newspaper, affirmed his appreciation for those who “knew the meaning of trust and were sincere in safeguarding it,” and who understood the value of time, so they “raced against time,” fighting backwardness with “great achievements,” and believing in deeds, not words, and “working in silence and tranquility.” He considered the materialization of these projects into reality something that “vanquishes the enemy and the haters.”
“Dignity Revolution” and the Desired Path of the State
He stressed that the “Dignity Revolution continues its march towards progress, civilization, and a decent life with an indomitable will,” aiming for Libya to become “a model of security, stability, building, and reconstruction,” and for the people to live “as masters who determine their own destiny,” proud of their homeland, its past and present, and looking forward to a prosperous future, “trusting in God.”
Ajdabiya’s Status and Its Urban Renaissance
He remarked on Ajdabiya’s status and its “honorable” history in defending the homeland, expressing his happiness with the “comprehensive renaissance” it is witnessing in building and reconstruction: model schools, modern hospitals with full staff, bridges and road networks built to standard specifications, and gardens and parks that “are transforming in record time into a joyous picture of development.”
Promise of More Projects and the Extension of Reconstruction
He congratulated the people of Ajdabiya on what has been achieved, considering the accomplishments “a little of much more to come, with God’s help,” and reassured the Libyan people that the “caravan of building and reconstruction” is moving without stopping “from one city to another.”
Tribute to the Martyrs and a Prayer for Success
He concluded with a salute to Ajdabiya, its history, and its sacrifices, and to the martyrs “who gave their lives for dignity to triumph over terrorism,” praying to God to “sustain the blessings and guide our steps on the path of good.”
