Libya – General Khairi Al-Tamimi, Secretary General of the General Command, met with Stephanie Koury on Wednesday. Koury serves as the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General.
The two sides exchanged views on recent security and political developments. Discussions included deliberations from the security working group stemming from the Berlin Process. They also reviewed contributions from members of the security track in the structured dialogue.
Both parties emphasized the necessity of unifying Libyan institutions. This unification includes both military and security bodies. These steps aim to achieve greater stability and national unity.
The meeting also stressed the importance of holding general elections. Participants highlighted the role of international support in strengthening efforts toward Libyan stability.
