Translate the meaning exactly as is; do not make it clickbait or change the tone. Do not add or remove any information. Use standard English spelling for names and cities (e.g., use 'Al-Bayda' not 'Albayda'a'). Do not end the title with a period. Your response must contain ONLY the translated text. Title: "مشروع غدوة الزراعي خطوة واعدة لدعم الأمن الغذائي في الجنوب"

Traghan – The Ghadwa agricultural project is a major modern initiative in the southern region. This was stated by Ahmed Hussein, the agriculture sector coordinator in Traghan. The project is crucial for boosting national grain production. It also supports food security in Libya. Hussein noted the National Development Agency is supervising the project. This is done through its Southern Agricultural Projects Administration.

Hussein explained that the Ghadwa area is part of the Sabha municipality. The region features high fertility and abundant fresh water. Its environment is ideal for successful agricultural ventures. This has made it a hub for private projects and productive farms. It also hosts a long-standing palm tree project.

The project currently includes preparing 10 agricultural circles. This involves soil preparation and installing modern pivot irrigation systems. These preparations are for planting wheat and barley crops. Hussein stressed this step marks the project’s official launch. It will be a significant contributor to national production.

The project also aims to boost the local economy. It will create job opportunities and stimulate agricultural activity. This aligns with the state’s goal of achieving self-sufficiency. It also helps reduce reliance on imports.

Hussein noted the Ghadwa project is part of a broader vision. This vision is to enhance agriculture in the south. It aims to be a model for modern agricultural projects. It will use advanced irrigation and management technologies. The project focuses on strategic crops to support national food security.

Hussein concluded by affirming the project’s next phase. It will involve creating new circles and cultivating more land. He expressed a strong commitment to its success. The goal is for it to become a model for other agricultural areas. It will help strengthen the national grain reserve in coming years.
