Ghat – The head of the Ghat Municipal Steering Council, Ibrahim Al-Khalil Mustafa Salem, chaired an extensive meeting with the committee assigned by the General Command of the Armed Forces – Public Works Division, to follow up on the implementation of a number of development and service projects in the city.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish a five-a-side football pitch in the Feut neighborhood, complete the work on the Omar bin Al-Khattab Mosque, and build a minaret in neighborhood 304, in addition to drilling a drinking water well in the Al-Thanawiya neighborhood by the apartment buildings.
The head of the Steering Council affirmed that these projects are under the direct supervision of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, First Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa, as part of the municipality’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and improve the level of services provided to citizens. The implementation of the projects is set to begin within the next few days.
