GNU and World Bank discuss cooperation

Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, discussed on Monday with a delegation from the World Bank an assessment of cooperation between Libyan institutions and the World Bank.

They also discussed adoption of work plan proposed by the World Bank in Libya, according to which work with the relevant ministries will be carried out, GNU Media Office said in a statement.

Dbeibeh stressed the need for cooperation between the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), the Libyan Investment Authority, the relevant ministries and the World Bank, in creating effective and tangible partnership and cooperation, and creating good investment opportunities that support the national economy, the statement pointed out.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Council of Ministers, and Director of the Institutions Department at the Ministry of Finance, it added.
