Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, discussed on Monday with Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jan Kubis, the latest developments in Libya, especially with regard to national reconciliation, and overcoming difficulties to hold December elections on time.
They also discussed, during their meeting in Tripoli, the security situation in the country, and coordination with neighboring countries on joint security files, according to the Media Office of the Presidential Council.
Head of UN mission praised the efforts of the Presidential Council in unifying state institutions and laying the foundations for national reconciliation in preparation for the electoral process to achieve lasting stability in the country, the Media Office said.
