Youth Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Fathalla al-Zenni, said it was agreed to launch the first phase of the Prime Minister’s initiative to provide housing to youth and families in need.
Al-Zenni explained in a press conference for a number of GNU ministers Sunday that building the housing units targeted by the Prime Minister’s initiative have been suspended for 10 years and were not previously allocated.
The first phase of the housing initiative launched by Dbeibeh provides housing benefits to 25,000 beneficiaries.
The initiative is to provide more than 8,026 housing plots and 3,000 cash loans.
It targets young people, families of the martyrs and the wounded, those with special needs, and families in need.
The initiative excluded previous applicants, and the government made it clear that the application will be made electronically to obtain the benefit, pointing out that February 27 will be the date for launching the registration platform.
