The Libyan High National Elections Commission (HNEC) announced that number of registered voters abroad has reached 9,648, including 6,598 men, and 3,050 women.
Number of those who transferred their registration from inside the country to abroad amounted to 3,401 voters, including 3,662 men and 261 women, HNEC said in a statement on Monday.
U.K. witnessed the biggest number of Libyan registered voters, amounting 1,911, followed by Egypt where the number of registered voters reached 1,209, according to HNEC.
The Commission indicated that its voter registration system is still open for Libyan communities residing abroad to register for December 24 elections.
