Tunisian ambassador to Libya, Asaad Ajaili, denied that the Tunisian authorities had taken a position against holders of Libyan passports.
Ajaili stressed that the measures taken, that led to closing border crossing with Libya, were based on health, not political reasons.
Spokesman of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Mohamed Hammouda, said on Friday that the closed Libyan-Tunisian border crossing would be reopened next week.
Hammouda added that the Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, had agreed with Tunisian President, Kais Saied, to open the border crossing and resume air traffic between the two countries next week according to the unified health protocol between the two countries.
