The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) referred the amended parliamentary election law to the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), after the recent requested amendments.
HoR Member, Mohamed al-Abani, said in press statements that HoR issued Law No. 4 amending Law No. 2 regarding the election of members of the House of Representatives, noting that the House referred it to HNEC after the amendment.
Regarding whether the amendments were fundamental, al-Abani stressed that “they were simple, not fundamental. That is, it did not overlook many provisions of HoR’s law, which was referred earlier to HNEC, before it requested the amendment.”
