Surman – The “Ascend” educational awareness initiative has launched. It started at the Surman Youth Hostel. The initiative aims to promote positive behavior. It also seeks to instill values of awareness and responsibility in high school students. This is part of the Youth Hostels Association programs. These programs support the educational process and empower young people.
The initiative’s first activities took place at Al-Amal Primary and Secondary School in Surman. An interactive lecture was presented. It focused on a set of educational and ethical values. This practical step aims to enhance the school’s role. It helps build an aware and responsible generation.
Mohammed Ben Zahia commented to Al-Anbaa Al-Libya newspaper. He is the Director of Media and Communication at the Youth Hostels Association. He stated the initiative aims to provide modern awareness content. This content relies on direct interaction with students. It helps solidify positive behavior. It also reinforces guiding values within the educational environment.
Ben Zahia explained the first phase targets high school students. This involves field visits to schools. These visits include short lectures and open discussions. Discussions cover various topics. These include ethics and behavior, respecting teachers, and the importance of prayer. Preserving public property, combating bullying, and safe internet use are also covered. Self-motivation and enhancing academic success are further aims.
He indicated the initiative will continue. It will include several schools within Surman. The experience will be evaluated. Its impact will be measured. This prepares for its expansion to other educational stages.
