French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Wednesday he would the Libya Stability Conference, held in Tripoli on Thursday, France 24 reported.
Officials from regional powers including Italy, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt are also expected to attend the conference, called for by the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), according to Libyan press agency LANA.
Thursday’s conference aims to “gather the necessary support, in a transparent way” for the presidential election, said Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush on Sunday.
