Libya has adopted its first-ever national plan to reduce risks related to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) materials. The development was announced by the EU Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (EU FPI).
According to the announcement, the plan was developed with support from the European Union through its CBRN Centres of Excellence initiative. The objective is to strengthen safety and security within Libya and enhance international cooperation on CBRN risks.
The EU FPI stated that this milestone represents a significant step towards greater stability for the country. The service, which is part of the European Commission, is tasked with putting EU foreign policy into action through various instruments.
