The stability of the entire North Africa region will be in jeopardy if the Libyan elections did not take place on December 24, warned Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio on Thursday.
In a statement on Fecabook, Di Maio underscored that “the commitment of the entire international community is needed.”
According to the Italian chief diplomat, the Libyan elections delay could also “open a new phase of violence” and the effects could impact “our country and the entire EU”.
