Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla al-Mangoush, held a joint consultative meeting in Addis Ababa with the foreign ministers of Algeria, Ramtane Lamamra, Naledi Pandor of South Africa, and Angolan Deputy Foreign Minister Esmeralda Mendonca.
The meeting reviewed the items on the agenda of the 40th session of the Executive Council of the African Union, especially those related to political files and issues of peace and security in Africa, with the aim of consulting and coordinating positions, Libyan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Foreign Ministry stated that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the most prominent challenges facing the African continent in light of the growing various security threats, in addition to the complications imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic on the economic and health situation.
Al-Mangoush, arrived at dawn on Tuesday in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, to participate in the meetings of the fortieth regular session of the AU Executive Council.
