The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Tuesday that 401 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 10 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 15 others died of the virus, while 1,480 have recovered during the same reporting period.
126 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 375,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 358,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,514 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 720,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
