The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Monday that 592 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 9 others died of the virus, while 793 have recovered during the same reporting period.
126 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 382,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 370,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,607 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 786,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
