Libyan Health Ministry held its second meeting with the Egyptian Health Ministry to discuss the executive procedures to start exchanging experiences, information and consultations between the two countries through the two central emergency rooms, according to the Libyan Health Ministry.
The meeting followed up on the implementation of the agreement concluded between the two countries, which stipulates the treatment of Libyan citizens in Egyptian government hospitals in the same way as Egyptian citizens are treated in Libyan government hospitals, said the Libyan Director of Health Emergency Department, Mohamed Ghazawi.
It also discussed providing supplies of medical oxygen to Libya, and training Libyan medical personnel, Gazawi added.
The meeting, which was held using remote communication technology, was attended by Libyan Health Minister, Ali al-Zanati, Director of Health Emergency Department Mohamed Ghazawi, Director of Projects Department, Sami al-Shaafi, Advisor to Health Minister, Hatem al-Awami, and representatives of the Egyptian Health Ministry, the Ministry said in a statement.
