The permanent representative of Libya to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdelmuttalib Thabit, met Sunday with Ambassador Ali Halabi, the representative of Lebanon to the League, within the framework of a visit that is considered the first of its kind, and aims to strengthen relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, held in Cairo, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the region and some issues of common interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties stressed the importance of continuing joint coordination in various fields, raising it to broader levels, and intensifying efforts to explore new horizons for this cooperation, in a way that meets the aspirations of the two countries, and for the benefit and good of the two friendly peoples.
