Benghazi – The Jalyana Free Zone Management in Benghazi made an announcement. It assigned a marine tugboat. The tugboat will transport a team of experts. They will travel to the damaged Russian tanker. The tanker is located off the Libyan coast.
Captain Mohamed Jaber spoke. He is the Director of the Maritime Department. He leads the Jalyana Free Zone. He stated the expert team will assess the damaged Russian tanker. The tanker carries large quantities of oil. It also carries liquefied gas.
Sailor Shoaib Youssef Al-Sabir previously spoke to the Libyan News Agency. He is the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces. He also heads a committee. This committee was appointed by the Chief of General Staff. It is tasked with monitoring and addressing the Russian tanker problem. Al-Sabir affirmed the committee will take all possible measures. The goal is to remove the ship’s danger. This protects the Libyan coasts.
