Rise in the toll of victims of Israeli raids on Lebanon to 182 martyrs and 890 injured, and declaration of a national day of mourning

Beirut – The Lebanese Civil Defense announced on Wednesday that the death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon has risen. The total is now 182 martyrs and 890 injured. Rescue and ambulance teams continue operations in various affected areas. They expect the numbers to increase. Search efforts are ongoing under the rubble. Damage assessment is also being conducted.

In the same context, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced that Thursday will be a national day of mourning. This honors the victims of the unprecedented Israeli raids. These raids have occurred since the outbreak of war between Israel and Hezbollah. They have resulted in hundreds of dead and wounded.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s office said Salam decided to close public administrations, institutions, and municipalities on this day. Flags will be lowered on official buildings. This action honors the civilian martyrs and injured affected by the Israeli attacks.

The statement affirmed that the Prime Minister continues his contacts with Arab counterparts and international officials. He aims to mobilize political and diplomatic support to stop the Israeli killing machine. Lebanon will use all its capabilities to protect its people. It will defend its sovereignty.
