The 128th Brigade of the Libyan National Army (LNA) announced freeing a Chinese citizen from the grip of a gang that practices theft, drug smuggling, kidnapping and extortion on the southern border strip of Libya.
The Brigade said it raided the site of this group made up of different nationalities from Chad, Niger and Sudan, noting that a number of kidnapped persons, including a person of Chinese nationality, were freed during the raid, who had been subjected to kidnapping and forced disappearance at the hands of the outlaw group.
In a video recording published by the 128th Brigade, the liberated Chinese citizen said that the gang kidnapped him in the Sahara desert, and LNA was able to free him after 21 days from the grip of his kidnappers, confirming that he is fine, and thanked the Brigade.
