The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Elmangoush, summoned the Chargé d’Affairs of the Egyptian Embassy, Tamer Mustafa, as a result of what was circulated in the Egyptian media, and the disregard for Libyan sovereignty by comparing what is happening between Ukraine and Russia to the relationship between Egypt and Libya.
The Chargé d’Affairs clarified that the party that carried out this act does not represent the Egyptian government and its positions on Libya.
Elmangoush stressed that the historical relationship between the two brotherly countries is greater and deeper than any political orientations or polarizations.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian TV presenter, Amr Adeeb, compared the Ukrainian-Russian situation to the Libyan-Egyptian situation.
