The Mayor of Nalut announced on Wednesday that his western town will not abide by the latest military zone demarcation issued by the Presidential Council.
Abdul Wahab Al-Hajam accused the council of “tailoring its decisions under the pressure of regional and tribal militias”. The Nalut Mayor said the council ‘s “uncalculated decisions” are “harming the reputation of the military insinuation”.
“This farce must be stopped by these officials. Therefore, we will not abide by those decisions and they will not be implemented in our areas,” Al-Hajam said. “We do not recognize these military zones”.
