Murzuq – A meeting was held on Thursday in the city of Murzuq to discuss the reactivation of the local radio station from its headquarters within the city.
The Security Media Unit reported that the meeting, which included the Director of Murzuq Security Directorate, Major General Osama Owaidan, the head of the municipality’s Steering Council, Ashraf Adam, the director of the Libyan Media Corporation for the southern region, Ali Shambour, and the director of Murzuq Local Radio, Al-Zarrouq Al-Tayoura, is part of the cooperation and coordination between the Security Directorate and media institutions. The goal is to restart the radio station due to its vital role in supporting stability efforts, conveying the city’s voice, highlighting its various activities, and enhancing communication with residents.
The attendees emphasized the importance of local media at this stage and its role in raising community awareness and contributing to institutional building. They called for providing the necessary resources to ensure the radio’s effective and sustainable return to broadcasting from within Murzuq.
