Inauguration of a new gas bottling plant in Tawergha

Tawergha – The Misrata District Administration of Brega Petroleum Marketing Company inaugurated on Friday a new instant gas filling platform in the Tawergha municipal branch, in a step aimed at expanding the company’s services and improving its coverage of various regions, as part of its plan to develop its operational system and enhance the efficiency of domestic gas distribution in the country.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of representatives from official bodies in the Misrata Municipality and the Tawergha municipal branch, alongside members of the Council of Elders and Notables, and delegates from the Joint Operations Force and the Petroleum Facilities Guard, as well as several coordinators from Brega Company’s departments and sections.

The company explained, via its official Facebook page, that the project was implemented by a national workforce through the coordination of General Services, Maintenance, Occupational Health and Safety, and Industrial Security departments, which handled all stages of the work from preliminary preparations and civil works to the full operation of the platform.

The platform includes a main tank with a capacity of 21 tons, equivalent to about 43,000 liters of gas, which can fill approximately 1,400 cylinders of 15 kg capacity and 1,900 cylinders of 11 kg capacity. The platform is also equipped with a modern cooling system and pressure relief valves to ensure the highest safety standards.

The platform operates with four advanced filling machines, enabling a cylinder to be filled in just one minute, bringing the total production capacity to about 200 cylinders per hour. This helps to speed up distribution processes and reduce congestion at other filling centers.

Brega Company affirmed that the opening of the new platform reflects its ongoing commitment to developing its infrastructure and improving its services to ensure that citizens’ needs are met efficiently and promptly, and enhances service stability in the domestic gas distribution sector nationwide.
