Farzougha – The Libyan Government’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy began installing new 11 kV electrical cells today. These cells are for the Farzougha station. They were transported from ministry warehouses in Benghazi. Specialized technical teams started installation immediately upon the cells’ arrival. This is an urgent step. It aims to address the deterioration of old cells. This deterioration caused weak and fluctuating electrical currents. The new cells will enhance grid stability. They will also reduce frequent power outages in the region.
This measure completes a field visit by the Minister. The Minister visited several municipalities and cities. These visits were under the General Command’s directives. The Minister acted on behalf of the Deputy General Commander. He also represented the Head of the Libyan Government and the Director of the Development Fund. The visits aimed to monitor basic service conditions. They also identified major challenges facing citizens.
The visit included the Farzougha area. The Minister met with residents and electricity sector officials. He closely observed the suffering caused by weak currents. He also saw the impact of frequent outages. He affirmed the Ministry’s commitment. The Ministry will take practical and swift measures to resolve these issues.
