In a related context, the Thalatheen district, west of Sirte, witnessed the inauguration of the Khalid bin Al-Walid Rural Hospital. Executed by the National Development Agency through a specialized company, this project aligns with the expansion plan to establish health facilities that provide comprehensive medical services to citizens.

Residents of the Thalatheen district expressed their joy over this vital health project, which is expected to elevate the standard of medical services and alleviate the burden on other hospitals in the region, emphasizing the importance of continuing to implement such development projects.
According to medical sources at the facility, the hospital comprises several modern departments, including internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology. It also houses an emergency and ambulance department, an integrated medical laboratory, a central pharmacy, and departments for X-rays, CT scans, and MRI, in addition to an operating room currently in its final stages of preparation.
The hospital also contains patient admission and observation rooms, alongside service facilities and administrative offices equipped to the latest medical and technical specifications, complemented by landscaping, parking spaces, and green areas.
Following the inauguration, attendees took a tour inside the hospital, where they inspected the various departments and medical equipment, and listened to briefings on the operational mechanisms and services that the new health facility will provide.
The implementation of these two projects comes as part of the National Development Agency’s efforts to bolster the infrastructure in the city of Sirte and support the health and scientific sectors. This contributes to improving the level of services provided to citizens and reinforces the city’s position as a promising hub for development in the central region.
