Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Aqila Saleh, met today in his office in al-Qubba, Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jan Kubis, where they discussed developments of the political process in Libya.
Saleh confirmed the Parliament had begun preparing law for electing the president directly from the Libyan people, in addition to distributing electoral districts throughout the country to meet the electoral mandate on time.
UN envoy stressed the need to hold elections on time, on 24 December.
