Parliament to discuss budget, election law on Monday

Libya’s House of Representatives will hold a session on Monday to discuss the government’s budget, the election law and electoral districts, announced Fathi Al-Marimi, a media advisor to the House Speaker Aguila Saleh.

Al-Mariami pointed out that passing the budget requires a quorum of 120 representatives.

The House has been delaying vote for the budget due to a number of concerns by the representatives, including the budget’s allocations for armed factions which are neither affiliated with the Interior Ministry nor the Defense Ministry.

GNU budget includes allocations for armed factions not affiliated with state ministries, says MP
